Drug Rehabilitation Programs

For many people who are dependent on opiates, detoxification is much more necessary than rehabilitation. For these people, the majority of whose dependency stems from doctor-prescribed medication, the addiction is largely physical. There are no abusive behaviors to curb or personal issues to address--the essence of the problem is simply that the body needs to be rid of the drugs.

These people are not your average "drug addicts"--in fact, these are high-functioning people who have active and challenging lifestyles. They have become dependent on medications through no fault of their own. Even following a doctor's orders responsibly can lead to a seemingly endless dependency on painkillers. A medical solution should be the one applied.

At Meditox, we use the drug buprenorphine to help our clients end their drug dependencies. This safe and effective drug is used to stop drug cravings and other withdrawal symptoms that appear when a body is deprived of a substance it is addicted to. Over a six-week period, the buprenorphine dose is gradually lowered until the body is both drug-free and craving-free, and completely rid of any chemical dependencies.

That's not to say that we only address the medical side of dependency--we have trained counselors available 24/7 to help with your transition, and our outpatient methods allow you to partake in the social activities that are important to you. The reality of the situation is that a large number of people with drug dependencies don't need inpatient rehabilitation treatments; they simply need help ridding their body of it's need for the drug.
