Drug Detox
Drug addiction is a disease or disability characterized by an uncontrollable craving for a drug and irrepressible drug-seeking behavior despite serious personal, physical, spiritual and financial loss. For many people, drug addiction becomes chronic, with relapses possible even after long periods of abstinence. In fact, relapse in drug abuse is as common as other well-documented, chronic medical illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.
Drug Treatment
Due to its persistent nature, addiction may require repeated treatments to increase the intervals between relapses and diminish their intensity until abstinence is achieved. With some substance users, recovery depends upon willfulness. With others, the right medical treatment is a necessity. At Meditox, we provide outpatient medical treatment for drug addiction, allowing you to manage your detox and put your life back together at the same time.
Taking the First Step: Drug Detox
Drug detox is the medical process of breaking a physical addiction to a specific drug. At Meditox, our drug detox program protects your confidentiality, providing complete anonymity as well as an effective medical treatment that will help you gain freedom from your dependence on opiate and narcotic drugs. Only one appointment with us is necessary in order to start you on a six-week drug detox problem that will leave you drug-free.
Make an Appointment
Unlike the traditional inpatient treatment programs that require you to stay on-site under strict supervision from 30 days to six months, Meditox allows you to carry on with your life. During your one appointment, you are given a complete bio-psychosocial evaluation and work with a doctor to develop your personalized treatment plan. After this appointment, you are free to go. Only you need know that you are undergoing treatment for drug addiction.
Begin Treatment
At home, you will begin your taking your prescription for Subutex or Suboxone as prescribed by your doctor, medications containing buprenorphine, which is clinically proven to be an effective treatment for drug detox. Unlike methadone maintenance programs, you will be drug-free at the end of your treatment, not addicted to a different drug.
