Oh, Britney…
It doesn’t matter who you are or how much money you have: when a judge takes your children away because of your drug use, it’s enough to make you want to sober up pretty quickly. Britney Spears is now experiencing what women across the country go through when their addiction not only catches up with them but knocks them down and steals their family. That is, her ex-husband has been granted custody of both of her boys due to her drug addiction.
Apparently, fellow actress Lindsay Lohan and her success at a drug rehab center in Utah has been an inspiration. One of Life and Style Weekly magazine’s sources is reported as saying: “If Britney finally acknowledges that she must face her addictions, then that’s the best place. It’s working for Lindsay, and hopefully Britney will see that as inspiration.”
And with the world waiting and watching, ready to report on the slightest infraction, Britney really doesn’t have any other choice, does she? Friends and bodyguards are reportedly passing along news of Britney’s behavior to police and—perhaps worst of all—to Britney’s mother, Lynne. But whatever it is that finally wakes Britney up and forces her to get help, one day, she’ll be thankful. The way kids grow up so fast, sooner is better than later.
