Lindsay Lohan: Will She Stay or Will She Go?
Now that she’s out of rehab in Utah, the rumor is spreading that Lindsay Lohan is opting for an education of the classroom variety as opposed to the hard knocks that Hollywood has to offer. Her course of study? Psychology. Very interesting…. It seems that the introspection that inpatient drug rehab provides has Lindsay thinking about subjects deeper than cat fights with Paris. Good for her!
Since her big break at the age of 12 when she starred in the remake of the film Parent Trap, Lindsay’s life has been pretty nonstop: tons of movies, even more public (and publicized appearances). At a time in life when almost everyone wants to fit in, it can’t be any easier with 20 cameras on you at all times. Lindsay’s lucky that she went to rehab when she did. Now she has her whole life ahead of her rather than a lifetime of regret behind her.
Those with the gossip have pointed to New York University as Lindsay’s possible destination, a mere 3000 miles away from the lurid pull of Hollywood’s night life. Some in recovery call it “pulling a geographic,” which is lingo for trying to run away from her problems. But many have successfully managed to turn their lives around after a debilitating addiction by making a complete overhaul in their lives. Certainly nothing could be more life changing than pursuing an education rather than getting swallowed up by Hollywood pressure.
Naysayers claim that the high cost to insure Lindsay on the set after everything that has happened would keep Lindsay from working for years anyway. Might as well go to school!
But you know what, if Lindsay can do it—queen of the tabloids and professional at getting in trouble—clearly anyone can. Now if only fellow actress Britney would learn from her example….
