Does anyone know how long it takes for Subutex to get out of your system? Have been on it on and off for 10months. The last time was 5 days break in between and am on it for 2 months and currently on 3mg.

Can someone email me who has went from methadone to suboxone? I really need some answers before I do this. I want this more than anything and if you have ever been on methadone you know exactly how I feel. I can not afford to go to the Meditox program so I have to do this on my own. I am going to try to see if a doctor from my area will help with this and I hope that he will do this for me!

    Sincerely,
    TJ

our daughter is 27 years old and has been on methadone treatment for 1 year. she had a heroin drug history of about 3 years before mmt. her highest dose of methadone has been 130 mgs, but has tapered down to 40 mgs. she is determined to get off methadone and is sick- nausea, diarrhea, body aches, etc.. almost all the time. she is interested in detoxing off of methadone inthe chicago area. what type of help can you offer?

I am terrified to get off Subutex!! Even 1 day without it and I feel depro, anxious and lethargic. I know this may sound funny, but can’t you use methadone for a few days? I am on it due to fibro pain, but my pain is under control now.

Hi, Zelda. Things sound chaotic for you right now. I really don’t think it’s a good idea to jump back and forth between medications. Please ask your doctor for help and definitely share with us what he or she tells you!
