My son is a recovering addict. Anything that will get him "high" or "down" doesn't matter. I remember when his girlfriend first gave him a Xanax many years ago, he went into Dillards (even though he had a Dillards charge card) and stole a shirt. Just wanted to see if he could do it. I've always said that Xanax gives one brass balls and it does with him. He wouldn't touch another drug if he didn't start out with Xanax. Once he's had a "bar" then his inhibitions are so low that there's no limit to what he would take or try. His doctor tried to prescribe Xanax for him to help with his recovery from painkillers/alcohol. I couldn't believe it! I called the doctor and told him my son was an "addict" and an addict is an addict.
